He is best known for portraying gangster Thomas \u201cTommy\u201d Shelby on the hit BBC period series Peaky Blinders, as well as staring in films 28 Days Later, Batman Begins, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, Inception and Oppenheimer.<\/p>

A frequent collaborator with Christopher Nolan, acting in 6 of his films, he recently won the 2023 Academy Award for Best Actor as the lead role in Nolan's Oppenheimer.<\/p>
